The hotel did not live up to my expectations in the least. First off, we got there to a dirty tub with hairs and some sort of gunk in it, we had to completely clean it ourselves before even thinking of using it. Also dirty glasses that couldn't be used, and in general the room was cleaned very poorly. The room itself was pretty nice, if only it was clean. Then, despite paying for the spa suite with the jacuzzi tub, we go to get in the bath and the jets don't work so the next day we had to sit on the phone to get someone up there and wasted quite a bit of our day waiting to get someone up there. It was eventually fixed that night and we got to use it once before it stoppped working again. Out of 5 nights, we got to use it ONCE. Talk about a waste of money... But it wasn't worth it to spend forever on the phone so we didn't bother dealing with the hassle of trying to get someone up there again. But very annoying, and a waste of money to upgrade to the spa suite for nothing... Another annoying factor would be they put us in a room with a door to an ajoining room with someone with a young child. As it is, the wall are EXTREMELY thin in general but this made for a very unpleasant stay. They should know better than to put someone with a child in one of those rooms, especially to then put a young couple in the next room. Every morning we were woken up bright and early at 6:30 to a very noisy child after only being asleep a few hours. The walls are thinner than any other hotel I've ever stayed at, you can hear absolutely everything from any room anywhere around you. Not very pleasant. Then, their towels almost every day smelled AWFUL! They had this disgusting burnt smell. I have no idea what they did to them, but they stunk so bad. I couldn't even use them on my hair, otherwise my hair would smell like them. Also the cleaning lady we had every single day was really pretty terrible. She was super pushy, she would insist on coming before we left the room. She would even keep coming back even with the "Do not Disturb" sign up, and she came in one day when I was undressed. She was pretty rude and on top of it did a terrible job. She was in and out within maybe 10 minutes. And she would usually forget to even leave things, one day she took the dirty glasses but didn't give us new ones. Then multiple times she left us no hand towls, among other things. Overall, it was the worst hotel experience ever. We were actually relieved to leave there, it was not a good stay and I don't recommend staying there at all.

I have been to Las Vegas 13 times, 9 of which I stayed at Mandalay Bay. The best part about the hotel is the pool. There are 3 pools, a lazy river and a wave pool. This pool beats the other pools that I have been at, hands down. Some may find the location a minus but I like the fact that the hotel is a little further away. There is a tram to the Excalibur/Luxor that does make the walk shorter but who could not use a little more exercise! Beds are relatively comfortable. Hotel is not as busy/crowded as some of the others which is nice! Only con...there is a $25 resort fee (with tax it is closer to $28) . We do use the internet, which used to be around $15/day, and get a daily paper (can only get during the week as USA Today is not published on the weekends). This fee also includes use of the exercise facility but I am on vacation and get enough exercise walking the strip. I wish that the MGM properties would get rid of the fee, I would like to chose which amenities I use and pay for.

This is my first stay having been here for a meal and the casino. Waiting downstairs to meet up with incoming friends I met another guest with his family. His first visit also. He didn’t expect the additional cost of his stay to add up so much. Of my experience there was the inevitable resort fee now $28 (25 + 3 on the statement), $14 for a Margarita (Starbucks Grande sized). Well this is Vegas. On the Strip, Mandalay Bay has no stand out show or restaurant that you can find for an evening. Apologies to Carlos Santana who can give a great show. If you find a show elsewhere there are times (after 10:30PM) when the tram to MB is closed. For some good points, the MB Buffet is wonderful and a good value. The pools are a treat but shade is hard to find and outdoor showers are at ambient temperature (hot, hot in the afternoon). Best to shower upstairs. The Sports Book is great. In the room is BOTH Wired & Wireless internet. Finally the LV Transit Bus Pass (24 hour, $7) is a great value. To\from downtown, to\from the center strip local available at all hours. express also available from 9am – 12:30am. Which leads me to the conclusion; I’ve done my Mandalay trip. Back now to the center strip. Trips will be shorter. The bus passes are still a good deal. The restaurants and show variety are much greater and offer better values. And of course there is the resort fee and the $14 Margarita. Well this is Vegas.

I always enjoy staying at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. The pool is large enough to accomodate the entire hotel-it seems! The only issue is finding a spot to sit. The hotel is high quality and the restaurants are magnificant.
