The Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino is a huge, friendly, busy property with extra-large rooms and deluxe bathrooms. My view was spectacular -- down the Strip with many other properties visible and magical lights at night. I did have some criticisms: the check-in line was ridiculously long for such an upscale property; one of my phones did not work, and one of my sinks backed up with water. Also, I know that casino resorts want you out and gambling, but when I come back to the room I like a good selection of TV channels. This hotel has a woefully small selection. Like many properties in Las Vegas, lots of walking is mandatory at Mandalay Bay. The walk from my hotel room to my meeting room was 1/3 mile each way. The resort has a mandatory daily fee of $25.00 plus $3.00 tax which is supposed to cover the amenities including wireless Internet.

Mandalay Bay is worth staying at because of the beauty of the hotel alone. The outside is beautiful with the tall towers and gold tints to the windows. We had a deluxe room, which was pretty much your standard room and it was spacious, beautiful and clean...we also had a view of the strip which made the room even better. When you stay in standard rooms at other hotels you definitely do not get the space and luxury you have at staying at Mandalay Bay...and it is AFFORDABLE!! They have great world class restaurants as well as awesome affordable ones, they have the shark reef, and awesome casino and live shows at the house of blues inside the hotel!! The tram also runs at Mandalay Bay which makes it easy to get to some of the hotels...all in all my boyfriend and I had a great stay! They also comped room fees because of my birthday! So I definitely recommend this hotel! Candace

The reviews I read prior to booking Mandalay Bay, led me to choosing this hotel. The reviews were right on. Mandalay Bay has quiet rooms that are large,, comfortable and clean. I was upgraded to The Hotel and was glad for this upgrade. The Staff is VERY, VERY, accommodating and helpful. The Bell man showed me features of my room and the cashier at The Store, took time to go over the resort map and get me acquainted with where the restaurants and other Mandalay attractions were located. Great staff, the Mandalay organization is to be commended for training all their staff well and creating a positive experience. Lovely casino and good restaurants.

If I go back to Vegas I will probably stay here again. The only negative comments are that the wave pool, however large, only shoots out like 1 wave per minute. And the pools closed at 6pm. But it was very beautiful and staff was very friendly. It is down on the strip so you have to walk awhile or take a bus but I don't think that was a big deal.
