Happy in the Heat

We were very happy with our stay (Early May 2010). Mandalay Bay was recommended to us by a friend as "One of the nicest in Vegas, and best water pressure!" Keep in mind this hotel is at the end of the strip, so if you are not renting a car - you will be walking quite a bit. On the other hand, you are in a less hectic, more 'quiet' part of the Vegas Strip. Our only glitch was that I reserved a suite, and it was not available when we arrived. They put us up in a regular room for half our stay, then moved us for the second half when the suite opened up. We were compensated with restaurant vouchers for our inconvenience. I was satisfied with the accommodation they made for us. The pool is fairly crowded, and the cabanas are expensive to rent (for average Joes like us).

The 10 of us stayed at the Mandalay Bay for three nights and had a blast. The hotel is spacious, clean, good service, friendly people, and a great value. We recommend everyone stay there on a trip to Vegas. It had several food choices, the bar EyeCandy was super fun, and having The House of Blues in your hotel was a nice change of pace too. My only two cons are that things are expensive in the hotel, but what did you expect, it's Vegas and I hate paying resort fees especially since the pool wasn't even open. Have a great stay at Mandalay Bay!!

Stayed at Mandalay for a bachelor party over a weekend so I didn't get a chance to really spend time in my room or the bed/floor I was given. It was a great time. The pros were the huge pool area and the 21+ pool. The major con is that Mandalay is so far down on the south side of the Strip that it takes a while to get to the "heart" of Vegas. Overall though, I would stay here again.
