I was so excited to stay at the Mandalay Bay Hotel over Christmas this year. Having stayed there previously, about 6 years ago, I was happy to return to the elegant, friendly environment I remembered. This time, however, everything was "the worse for wear"--curtains and carpet shabby, linens slightly graying, amenities tired. Our room was very small and, even though we were traveling with 4 people, I had to get on the phone and ask for enough towels and glasses on a daily basis (they seemed to stock the room for 2 people routinely, but, once I made the initial call, they could have adjusted their usual amount). The prices in the restaurants were over the top---I do not mind paying for a good meal (and we really had a GREAT meal at Border Grill!!), but $100 for a casual breakfast in the hotel cafe was a bit much. All in all, it wasn't good value for the money and certainly not the special time I was anticipating! The hotel needs to spruce up its rooms and motivate its staff to return it to its former elegance and uniqueness.

Hotel is very clean and I would stay there again. We were there for a convention. Take note to wear your comfortable shoes, as there is a lot of ground to cover from the rooms to the meeting area and to basically anywhere on the strip. Choice of restaurants and service were readily available with good service.

We have stayed at a number of hotels in Las Vegas - we enjoy exploring and finding our true "favorite place". Mandalay Bay was excellent - among the best of the hotels we've stayed at in terms of the comfort of the room, the friendliness of the staff, and location. Even though you are on the south end of the Strip, you have excellent access to the major highways and can take the tram to other hotels further north. All in all, a very nice hotel at a fair price with good amenities and easy access. Highly recommended!

This hotel is GORGEOUS, the rooms are beautiful and extremely well appointed!!!!!! Our view was of the Strip and what a beautiful view it was!!!! The staff was more than accommodating. In fact, I had lost my wallet while walking through the Casino and within minutes it was found by a member of the Casino Staff and turned in with everything still inside...who would have expected that??? Loved the Wave Pool, the Buffet was yummy. I would stay at this hotel again and again and again. It may be a bit further down on the strip BUT...it was WORTH it, there are trams you can take between hotels that will get you up the strip in just minutes...TRUST me....you won't go wrong if you stay here!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been to Vegas three times and this was the best. I love the room and the casino. The Mandalay is the BEST place to stay if you want to have fun and stay in a very nice and clean room. I LOVE THIS PLACE.
