Beautiful hotel, very spacious. Started exploring one day and it took almost two hours to walk around and find everything. The restaurants and hotel entertainment, specials, shopping is very poorly marked. I didn't even know there was a shopping mall attached to hotel until I accidentally walked into it. Restaurants and bars are too expensive, but there are many options if you leave hotel.

This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed at Mandalay Bay. 1st time we had a wonderful view, this time we were on the 16th floor looking over the beach. When we checked in the staff was being trained and both the trainer and the front desk person were less than friendly. When we reached our room one key didn't work and they said we would have to wait through the entire check in line to get it fixed. Last thing I want to do is wait 30 min. for a new key. Pool/beach area is very nice, but when it's warm make sure you camp out to get a chair. People were holding random beach chairs hostage until they had accrued enough for their entire party. Management did nothing to rectify the situation. We had a late check out (one additional hour, that you have to jump through hoops to get), went down to get a cup of coffee from Starbucks and came back to the maid cleaning our room saying we checked out and couldn't be in the room anymore. Just wanted to change to use the pool...they had a less than stellar attitude towards the guests. Needless to say, we will be staying somewhere else next time!
