Cute and clean rooms, nice staff

I enjoyed my stay at the Empire Landmark. The room is cute and clean, somewhat modern but simple. If you're use to staying at really nice hotels this one will seem somewhat basic for the price. But overall it seemed like a good deal compared to others in the area and I got it on special so that helped. The staff was very nice and they have a room to hold luggage which was nice because even the late check out is at 12 noon but for me my flight was not until 11pm. So they stored my luggage while I explored the last day. Also the breakfast buffet for $16 is ok, nothing was that good to me. I would have rather paid for dinner at night while the restaurant spins.

The rotating restaurant/ bar on top of the hotel makes is worth the price alone- totally awesome. The staff is pretty friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel rooms aren't exaclty new, but are large and very clean. The tower itself is kind of narrow, and I believe there are about 9 0r 10 rooms on each floor, and therefore very quite; no foot traffic really. I've stayed here twice and highly recommend it :)

The hotel initially seemed nice but they assigned me a room next to the stairs which apparently is the popular smoking area for the hotel and then tried to charge me an extra $200 dollars for smoking in my room. being a staunch non smoker because of growing up in a household of smokers I immediately disputed the charge and they removed it. Next issue was the cable for the television was out and there was no reception. They do have free wi-fi but the signal was so weak nothing really downloaded. The walls were so thin I could hear the conversations in the next room over, They weren't being excessively loud just thin walls, I think I could hear just about every guest coming and going in the hallway. Not a good overall experience

It looks very nice on the web site but is a very run down hotel. The views from the room were fabulous and from the revolving restaurant. My television did not work the first night. The heating did not work and entry to the parking ramp was very awkward.
