hotel was in a renovated historic building, which means that rooms are unusually sized and connected. staff were friendly enough, but room was not cleaned daily. breakfast was falsely advertised- a pot of coffee and a bowl of apples. however, there was a fridge in the room so you could buy your own. (watch out- groceries are expensive in bermuda!) there were periodic hums/taps/creaks throughout the night from machinery or AC units, so bring your ear plugs to sleep. if you're on a budget or used to hostels, acceptable.

Aunt Neas is a great out of the way place to stay. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the facility is well kept. I spent a week here last year (August, 2011) and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a nice location to stay.

The rooms which we saw were unlivable. One which was booked initially by buying a package ("Paw-Paw") was dirty, damp, smelled of mold (which was also growing in the glass in the bathroom). After our complaint we were "upgraded" by the management for $* to another room (something " Palm Royal") which, as we found later, had thick dust, a dangerously broken door jamb with black rot, and nails and splinters sticking out. Rusty nails were coming out of the mirror frame as well. The furniture was worm-eaten and worn-out. As a result, we had to spend half of the next day (of a 3-day vacation) calling travel agency and getting into another hotel.

This place is exactly as advertised - you get a clean quite comfortable room in an incredible location. If you are looking for luxury or excitement then you need to go to a resort but if you want local charm and relaxation then Aunt Neas is perfect. St. Georges is a really interesting and perfectly preserved old town but again if you are looking for excitement or nightlife I dont think youll find it here. The beaches though are absolutely beautiful and just a short ten or fifteen minute walk from Aunt Neas. Tobacco Bay is stunning and like a miniature really secluded version of Horseshoe Bay - which by the way should not be missed. All in all Aunt Neas was exactly what we were looking for and perfect for a quite easy vacation. And the dog really is cool.
