For the pricing around the downtown area, it was an amazing stay. I do wish there was more of a pool area, maybe outside to relax by, but other than that location was perfect for walking anywhere downtown! Great stay

This was a great hotel experience. The couch folds out, so we put the kids on that and we took the king. The room is spacious and offers all that you need. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grocery store across the street was a bonus on saving $$$ on food! Be prepared to pay 45-50 per night on parking and it is that way all over Chicago. Breakfast buffet was great and if you want to stand in line you can get eggs cooked to order, biscuits and gravy etc.

This was a great hotel. The rooms were spacious and we enjoyed catching buses to get where we needed to go. Town is pretty easy to navigate. Parking is EXPENSIVE and the internet isn't free, but it is a great hotel, great staff, great location. We would definitely stay here again.

Some good/Some bad

We were very disappointed in a few things at this hotel. First, we reserved a non-smoking room, and when we checked in, we were told that we were given a "smoking" room that was recently converted to "non-smoking". We were still on a smoking floor, and it pretty much smelled like the people who stayed the night before us had smoked in the room. The "conversion" basically consisted of removing the ash trays from the room. As the hotel was completely booked for the weekend, they had no other room to offer us. My husband and I are both allergic to smoke, so we dealt with severe sore throats and itchy, watery eyes the entire time. The 2nd big negative is that our $500 camera was stolen out of our room some time during our first morning there. We left during the maid service and came back a few hours later to find our camera gone. I had wanted to put in in a safe, however there was no safe in the room. Also, we discovered that while the maids are cleaning the rooms, they leave the doors wide open and clean several rooms at at time, so anyone could have walked in and taken it. We did notify security, who basically had me fill out a form, and that's it. No concern for our property, no apology, no effort in helping us try to find it. It is like they wanted to brush it under the rug and pretend it didn't happen. Internet was also $15/day, and parking $43/day. The two positives are the location and the breakfast. I will not stay here again.
