This was a great hotel for the money you spend. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was super comfortable!! I got a great night's sleep every night I was there. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast could be improved. It was in a tiny room, there wasn't much selection for food, and you had to wait in line a long time. The location is a little seedy but it's a short walk from the subway station. Overall, a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone on a budget.

This was a very clean and updated room. Good size. Our room faced Broadway, and the activity on Broadway never stopped - even at 4 in the morning! So if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room in the back!!
This part of Broadway is a little "seedy", but we never felt in danger. There are very friendly and ever-present bell staff at the door, and in the lobby. Desk staff were very pleasant.

Only negative was the continental breakfast. The room was tiny, and since the hotel was packed, there was not even a place to stand, much less sit and enjoy the breakfast. Would be good if they had two or three continental breakfast locations, instead of just one.

All-in-all, it was a good experience.

The staff was helpfull, polite and professional. Hotel policies discusting. These included:
    - not informing guests at checkin that was no hot water in rooms, for 3 days
    - making photocopy of drivers licenses
    - taking a $* reserve on guest credit cards for prepaid rooms, (only done in dive hotels)
    - checkout required a personnel trip to the front desk and a wait in the line

Bad bed, sagged in the middle, slick polyester cover on top. TV did not work and could not
    be fixed in two days.

Our first impression of the hotel was terrible!! We arrived by shuttle around 7am after having flown all night. We pulled up to the curb & were met with a sight of a small, narrow door under the Broadway Plaza marquee - between walls of corrugated shutters coming down to the sidewalk! It looked like the worst neighborhood in the innercity. However, once the shops opened, it doesn't look so bad. The location is OK, we walked to Times Square & the Empire State Building quite easily. There are many wholesale/retail shops along the way.
The breakfast room is tiny, but the continental breakfast is good.
The beds are wonderful as well as the pillows. The bathroom has the sample size soaps, lotions etc as well as hairdryer. The small closet had an iron & ironing board.
If you arrive early, as we did, they will store your luggage - however we got into our room by noon. The lobby is just like the picture - a large reception desk & a small couch.
As long as one doesn't expect a grand lobby or luxury curb appeal - this was great value.
