I was in town on business. I had a great view of the Empier State Building at night! The desk personel was very helpful. The room was neat and clean. Althought not in a high rent district the location is right next to the subway stop. (one block) The room rate was reasonable. lots of food services near by( a few blocks away. The only possible problem is my room was next to the elevator shaft. So although it didn't keep me awake, I did notice it was there.

  • Great little find in the Big Apple!

Loved our stay, the staff was wonderful, friendly and very helpful. The rooms were huge and very clean as was the bathroom, a rare find in New York City! Close to the subway, a quick walk to Macy's and Penn Station, which was great since we came up by train, no taxi's needed! Just a really fun place to stay and close to everything! Would return and would recommend!

I got such a good deal here, no way could I complain. Location is excellent, couldn't be better, in my opinion. Free coffee all day, super clean, spacious bathroom, all important stuff to me. The negatives? I get the impression that the rooms are all of various shapes and sizes. Our room was very small with the worst feng shui ever, we really had to struggle to get to the bathroom door or to get a view out the window because of where the beds and needless furniture was placed. I had a poor nights sleep because I felt the bed was way too soft, but that's a personal taste, it might be great to someone else. For the price and for Manhattan, this was still an extremely good deal.

  • Almost European feel to room

The taxi driver of course had never heard of the hotel, but it was easy to find right near 27th on Broadway. Convenient location. The entrance is just a narrow store front wide and the doorman/bellman is helpful, but not always available on the street to help you drag your bags from the taxi into the hotel. The lobby is hole in the wall size with a small staff including the doorman/bellman all behind the counter working computer terminals hidden behind a high counter. I was beginning to wonder if I had picked the wrong hotel. But wait! The rooms are great! Similar in design and size to your typical upscale European room, but with American furnishings and bathroom style. Super clean -- they even vacuum under the bed. I was told their was a limited complimentary breakfast included with the room, but I did not try it. Staff was friendly, there is a charge for wifi; but for the room price and good location it is a good value and I will seek out this hotel on my next trip to the big Apple.

Upon arrival we were surprised that we could check into our room early which was great. Our corner room on the 9th floor had 3 large windows and a perfect view of the Empire State Building. The contiental breakfast was good but the area was small so we just ate in our room. I was there with my husband and 2 kids and we felt totally safe the entire time. There are a lot of jewelry and perfume shops right outside with a lot of people milling around selling also, but noone ever bothered us while we were walking to Times Square and surrounding areas. It was a short walk to Madison Square Garden.
