This was the first time that my husband and I had gone to NYC so it really helped that our hotel was a great experience as well. It's hard to tell from the pictures and information online what a hotel will be like until you get there. It was a great surprise!! The front desk staff was very nice and helpful!! The bellmen were also very nice and very very helpful!!

This hotel was awesome! The room was small but we didn't vacation to NYC to stay in the room. We were there to sleep and eat breakfast and then we were gone again. This hotel is in a great location because its within walking distance from times square and the empire state building and many other things, but it was also very quiet at night. The doormen were extremely helpful with subway routes, as well as, events going on that we didn't necessarily know about. The trip was great, the Yankees lost(yessss!!!) and I got a homerun ball! Couldn't ask for more!

The hotel front door greeters were awesome! Anthony and Angel were very helpful and answered all of our questions about directions, and getting Broadway tickets. The hotel is clean with beautiful marble floors and granite bathroom sinks. Good security and safes are in the room for your valuables. The coffee on the 4th floor isn't good. However, the best thing about staying here is that the hotel is small. After a day of walking and site seeing and lines and lines of people it is nice to arrive at the Broadway Plaza with no waiting. You walk in the front door and go straight to the elevator and go right up to your room with no lines, and no waiting. I took my daughter here for her "Senior Trip" before beginning college. Being two women out in the City....I do advise that after 11pm...you take a taxi back to this hotel. Do not be on the streets alone. Going out the front door in the morning...you can walk right to the Empire State Building with lots of shopping to see on the way, or take the subway at 27th, W right to the Statue of Liberty. Fun fun fun!!!!

The amenities are sparse but if you're just in need of a nice clean room, this is an excellent choice. It's one block from a subway station, which was very convenient. I requested a room with a view of the Empire State Building and the room where I stayed was very spacious with a spectacular view of that landmark. I was very impressed with the size of the room, particularly for NYC. My only complaint was the size of the shower, which reminded me of a cruise ship. The bathroom was a decent size but the shower was very tight. Otherwise, the bed was extremely comfortable, the room was beautifully furnished and the towels were oversized and fluffy. Housekeeping was also efficient and thorough. When I'm in a place like NYC, I just want a quiet comfortable room in a safe area and other than sleeping; I don't intend to spend much time in the hotel. For that, Broadway Plaza Hotel is perfect. I stayed out late on the weekends and had no problem sleeping in because the room is so quiet and the curtains kept it dark. Although there is no significant amenities like room service, there are a couple places nearby like Ray's Pizza that deliver and they do offer more than just pizza. That came in handy for some late night munchies. With regards to value, a friend of mine was also in the city and I went to his hotel which was located blocks from Central Park and Time Square and it had a great bar and lounge etc. and that is all well and good but his room was half the size of mine, had no view and cost almost three times as much. It made me feel great about choosing Broadway Plaza Hotel.
