The St Gregory is a well run hotel that is very well located in DC. You can walk to Georgetown and to Dupont Circle where you can find lots of restaurants etc.. Our only surprise was how expensive the parking was...$39. I think we got a deal last time, it must have been included. There is a large building under construction behind and across NH Ave. from the hotel.I think this will go on another 3 mos. or so. It's not really noisy but it's going on.

Without paying an arm and a leg, I have to admit I was a little worried about what an affordable hotel in D.C. would be like. The St. Gregory exceeded our expectations. Although we are a family with children, I am also a clean freak who wants peace and quiet and this hotel was both of those things. The staff was there to open doors...we were greeted day in and day out. Our room was updated, chic' and clean and extremely quiet. Our little kitchen area was perfect for storing our take-out and all the basics like milk and water (full size fridge). You can't take the elevator without swiping your key, so we felt very safe. The St. Gregory was close to everything! Dupont Circle was a couple blocks away, so we had the Metro, shopping, food, and the experience of D.C. right at our fingertips. If I ever go back to D.C. I am staying at the St. Gregory. It felt like home!
