DC was shut down and my 12 year old was excited about the nations Capitol. Friendly hotel, workout room , quiet, we walked to the Nueseaum, the Phillips, great shopping , DuPont circle. Luiguis Italian restaurant nearby was homey good and kid friendly. Walked to Farragut metro station. Robbed in the metro buying tics. Be careful. The hotel was fine. Had dinner one night at hotel ,advise skip restaurant. Yfi was extra $12. A day. We would use this hotel again.

I stayed in this hotel for three nights. I have mixed things to say. The location is ok, half-way between two metro stops, but somewhat close to Dupont Circle. The hotel staff is wonderful, from the bellman who remembered my taxi number when I thought I forgot my cell phone, to the concierge, who provided an upgrade when I was unable to check in when promised. The room itself however, was not that great. It was noisy, as I could hear everything that happened on the street outside. The bed was rock hard, and I'm not sure what is up with the trend of bathrooms only having a pedestal sink. Not nearly enough room to spread out the things I need, and thus my toiletries lived up to their name and ended up in the toilet. The kitchen is ok, though didn't use it for my short stay (other than the refrigerator). Normally I would, as I hate to have to eat out all the time. Overall an ok place to stay. I've had better and I've had a lot worse.

I stayed here with a group and we had two rooms which included a junior suite. Both rooms were in excellent condition and very clean. The junior suite was huge with its own sitting area complete with a full kitchen (stove, sink, dishwasher, full-size fridge). I was impressed with how accomodating the front desk was in getting our two rooms next door to each other and how the staff was very friendly and there was always someone getting the door for you as you entered/exited the hotel. We left on Sunday morning, and while we did not stay for the brunch, it looked very busy and well attended. There was lovely piano music being played by a lady that filled the lobby area which made for a nice serene Sunday morning on a beautiful day in DC. The location was very convenient to attractions in Dupont Circle, and we saw a great show at the nearby DC improv, so having this hotel within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, and attractions was a great aspect to staying here. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others as I felt that I got an incredible value staying here.

Excellent Stay even though I had to pay for the internet.01/17/2013
The room was a good size and beds were comfortable. there was no free internet and that was unexpected for our room that was an upgrade to a suite.
