Reserved a superior room for a week by the pool but the room was really tiny and anything but superior. Complained to the staff and they gave me a really nice upstairs room in the back with a view of the park, ocean , and the cruise ship. So, we went from a 100 sq. ft room to a 400 sq. ft. room at no additional cost and it was superior, very clean, and had a new LCD tv. The on site restaurant was nice and we took advantage of the free breakfast almost daily and it was good. The morning and evening menu was quite extensive and the quality was good. Didn't have any problems with parking and I paid for an internet package for a week but it is free in the lobby. I have been to just about all the other seasides and the sands in Kauai, and I have yet to be disappointed. The hotel is old and needs to be upgraded but it is clean and the staff is great, including the handyman who didn't hesitate to assist me with our luggage. Overall, we enjoyed the seaside and our next stop will be the seaside in Hilo. Majalo.

Our room was clean. The staff was very helpful with suggestions on beaches to visit. We purchased the breakfast in our package deal, it was the best choice we could have made. Lots of food, good value. We will be back!!

My husband and I got this hotel last minute (the evening before departure date). The location is pretty good - close to the airport and within walking distance of shopping mall - so it was easily accessible for food, toiletries, etc. It isn't the most aesthetically pleasing hotel, but it suited our purposes of having a place to shower and sleep at night. Nice LCD flat-screen, spacious bedroom area, overhead fan. Bathroom was a little small but clean. There's a free gravel parking lot literally 10 feet away from the hotel's paid parking lot; we saved ourselves $10/day on parking by walking an extra 5 seconds.

This hotel is a very good value for someone that is vacationing on a budget. There is always someone at the desk and the grounds are very well kept. The free breakfast is suprisingly good. We thought the free breakfast was just going to be a little self serve room, but this free breakfast is a full service restaurant with variety of choices and drink included. The building seemed old and the door to our room didn't seem to fit in the frame right. The light outside the door was pretty bright at night and shined through the door and was a little bothersome at times. This place is also next to an industrial harbor so it does get pretty noisy at times with the ships coming in. There was no carpet in our room but there was a vanity and refrigerator for our beer and champagne. You do have to pay for parking but it costs only a fraction of what you would spend on breakfast. There is also wifi that you have to pay for but isn't very expensive. All in all I'd say this place is great if you want to save money and don't spend a lot of time at the hotel. The free breakfast greatly outweighs the cost of parking and wifi and is definitely worth it.
