The staff was very nice, however, the room was old, smelly and hot. I had to ask the staff to change our sheets, which you shouldn't have to do. The area is not very nice, but it location is excellent for driving anywhere. If you want to save money to spend on adventures, this is the way to go.

This is a wonderful hotel--clean, quiet and centrally located with easy access to two shopping centers and a variety of restaurants. The staff works very hard servicing the steady flow of visitors who've taken advantage of its' close proximity to the airport. The breakfast at the Coconut Grill is good too for a free breakfast.

This is a budget friendly, little seaside hotel. We booked a room with breakfast for one night before heading over to Lahaina the next day. The room was quite large and the shower was very powerful! All in all, it was just a good place to crash for one night! Staff was very friendly.

You get what you pay for
03/08/2012I have stayed at the seaside in kona and the difference is night and day! the staff was not pleasant or accomodating at all. check in was at 3pm...and ...
I have stayed at the Seaside in Kona and the difference is night and day! The staff was not pleasant or accomodating at all. Check in was at 3pm...and not 250pm or 259pm, for instance. Breakfast was supposed to be included, yet if you book through THEIR OWN website...its not! It may be the best price on the island, but....then they charge you to park and for internet access....if you can believe that! The breakfast was really good, but, again...it was a chore for ANY of the staff to say good morning, Aloha or Mahalo! I wouldn't stay here again, as it was the one downfall of our vacation. There are also no rooms with a view and the pool closes at 6pm!
