I booked this hotel knowing nothing about Vegas. I saw it had decent reviews. We arrived and we saw an old, somewhat dingy and dim hotel with a smoky casino. Parking was very scarce and very inconvenient in relation to the hotel. Elevators were rickety and very warm. The room itself was 16 floors up and there was no protection at all outside the window. Maybe this is common, but it felt a little precarious. Bad carpet, bad smells, poorly draining sink, depressing lighting, little insulation to outside sound (eg a "Puddle of Mud" concert), no bathroom vent. The whole place felt like it was stuck in the 1990s, right down to the TVs that turn on to a channel dedicated to the hotel. This channel featured obviously dated guides on how to play certain casino games. Wi-fi costed 10 bucks. Using the internet in the lobby would have been 5 if memory serves. Maybe this is common in Vegas. It was a shock to me. The title says this is the Roseanne of Vegas hotels. What I mean is that it was probably once popular, but everything about it seems behind the times now. It doesn't work for me. At all. I allowed myself to be deceived by a decent rating because I didn't know any better. I bear no ill will toward the casino, I just wouldn't recommend it to anyone that wants a clean feeling, somewhat modern hotel.

We stayed here 4 nights. The cigarette smoke was overwhelming. We had a nonsmoking room that connected to a smoking room. Each time the people in the adjoining room smoked, it would come into our room. Definitely don't stay on Fremont Street if you are sensitive to smoke. We had a room on the 18th floor not facing Fremont Street and we could hear noise from the street loudly until about 3am each night. You could hear everything in the hallway and in the rooms around us. The doors to the rooms slam very loudly. The maids cleaning the rooms in the mornings were shouting to each other down the hall and slamming the doors of the rooms. The only positives I would give are that the bed was comfortable and it was inexpensive. I would never stay at this hotel, or on Fremont Street, again. If I do go back to Las Vegas I will stay on the Strip or at an off strip hotel like The Palms or Rio.

For a hotel in Vegas you can't beat the price or location if you're a fan of Fremont Street. We were in the non smoking side so it was more quiet than the building on the Fremont side. It's a standard hotel room, nothing great, nothing bad, but really how much time do you spend in a hotel room in Vegas? The room service was quick and very good. The only flaw of the room was that the outlet in the bathroom didn't want to work. But besides that I can't complain.
