    I've stayed at Orchard several times over the years, usually when I've been able to get a deal through hotels.com, and have enjoyed each visit. The staff is gracious and helpful and knowledgeable about SF. Modestly sized rooms are comfortable, with large bathrooms; TV cabinet also has DVD player and front desk maintains a library of DVDs. Have not visited the restaurant (Daffodil as of 2/2011) due to awful reviews concerning service. I thought that windows could be opened, but this visit (Sat, 2/5/11) we were on 6th floor and windows were sealed.

  • Nice-clean Hotel. I would recomend it without any hesitation.

    Good ubication. cable carts right outside the door ! staff was very friendly, directions and recomendatios were a big plus for us as first timers in san francisco.

    For the money and location this is one of the best values in the city. I felt welcome and the parking was excellent (a huge plus in San Fran). The staff was very friendly and made some great dining recommendations. I will definitely stay there again!

    We stayed with friends and were very pleased -- location is excellent. Only shortcoming -- a snide comment from a snarky valet. Very unprofessional. Otherwise, a great time -- would recommend highly for travelers who already know SF as this hotel has no concierge.
