    I was very impressed with the room, it was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. i will stay in this hotel in my next visit to fort lauderdale.

    Got picked up at the airport by their shuttle van only to be greeted by an aggressive, yelling, confrontational driver who was livid with the airport employee who began loading customers' luggage into the van. He then grumbled about how much easier his job would be if passengers would just put all of their bags in the back of the van after my wife kept her small carry on bag with her $1000 camera (shortly after pulling out, all of the suitcases in the back fell over from the way they were stacked). Driver then bit my head off for trying to sit in the front seat when I saw that the back was already packed with people. Everybody in the van was complaining about how honory the dude was, and I had already decided his tip was long gone. Upon arriving at the hotel, he hesitated to give me my suitcase when he saw I didn't have any cash in my hand. He then had the audacity to throw his hands up and say, "That's it!???" I explained to him there was no way I would give him a tip after the way he had treated everybody. He followed me into the hotel basically taunting me while the other passengers were watching in disbelief. Another gentlemen said loud enough for him to hear that he wished he wouldn't have given him a tip. The driver then proceeded to tell his fellow employees loud enough for all of the hotel guests to hear how he had just picked up a pack of animals at the airport. I asked to speak to a manager and was told I'd have to wait til the next day. We then went to the hotel restaurant where the service was horrendous. I couldn't figure out what was up with the place - thinking maybe it was Florida culture. We still would've tipped at the restaurant, but there was no choice in the matter as they automatically charge 18% gratuity no matter what size the party is. You know it's bad when they have to do that for tips. The room wasn't bad. The only thing I really appreciated was that the mattress was actually comfortable. I won't be going back to this hotel due to the quality of the service their employees provide. I had a fantastic day until arriving at this hotel. Don't know why they call it the Red Carpet Inn if the service makes its guests feel like an unwanted step child. Look elsewhere.

    Unfortunately, I made a mistake when making my reservations at one of the lovely luxury resorts in this area. Must have been because I needed a vacation desparately! Well, I was stuck and needed a room night and booked this dump. The place is OLD and in desparate need of repair. The staff, however, were amiable and made a dreary time better. The food at the restaurant that anchors the 1st floor, however, WAS disgusting! I ended up contacting the local Board of Health to report the fact that they had BAD meat. Spend the extra money -- get yourself a decent room!

    Limited shuttle = i chose this hotel specifically for the shuttle, but since i had a late flight, it wasn't running and i had to take a cab. check in ...

    Limited shuttle = I chose this hotel specifically for the shuttle, but since I had a late flight, it wasn't running and I had to take a cab. Check in was like paying at a gas station with the clerk behind the glass - did not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
