This hotel was a real gem. The price was right, the rooms were sizable and very clean/comfortable. The location was great. Many great restaurants within walking distance, as well as L'Arc de Triomphe and Le Tour Eiffel. I plan to return to this hotel for my next visit

This hotel was a classic 3 star French hotel - clean, 2 salons for sitting and a bar - this hotel has a restaurant (I did not eat in the restaurant). The room and adjoining private bathroom were very clean and decorated modestly with updated upholstery/bedding/curtains. The room was quiet but smaller than most American hotel rooms except for what you would expect to stay in in NYC. Like most European hotel rooms, it was not a room for "spacious lounging". I chose the hotel at the last minute for price and location. It is on a major Paris bus route as well as a 4 minute walk to the nearest metro. It is in the 16th arrondisement, which has much to offer and is sometimes underappreciated in travel guides. The Arc d'Triomphe is a 10 minute walk straight up the street from the hotel. The Eiffel Tower is a 15 minute walk.

The hotel was in a good location for both walking and travel on the metro. Nothing fancy about the hotel or the room but it served the purpose. My only complaint was the staff was not friendly and helpful and one of them was really rude.

We stayed one night and it was great. It was close to all of our needs--multiple restaurants, bakery, ATM, butcher shop. The employees were great at helping us! They were very friendly and were able to answer all of our questions. We got breakfast with our room and it was a nice variety of food/drinks with nice service. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. We could look down the street to see the Eifel Tower which added some excitement. We could walk to 2 different metro entrances. We LOVED our stay at Elysees Union Hotel!
