The staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was spacious, but the bed was rather hard. Our room was quiet even though next to the elevator. However at night it was loud until about 11 or 12 at night. A lot of choices for breakfast including a couple American items - eggs and bacon. It would be nice if they provided more than 30 minutes/day of internet free. This is the nicest hotel we stayed in while in Germany and the only one without free internet. Location was handy - only about 2 blocks from the S-Bahn, which was 2 stops from Marienplatz. This is also where the train station is. Hertz and a few other car rental return are just around the corner.

The King Hotel is walking distance from the train station and close enough to walk to Marienplatz and other points of interest. The room and the bathroom were clean, but very small. Although the area around the hotel looks a little questionable, we were assured by the locals that it was safe. One inconvenience is that you receive only 1/2 hour per day of free internet access. (The password is available at the reception desk.) The staff was very friendly and helpful. In general it is a nice little hotel.

My wife and I loved Munich. This hotel was great except for one thing - the air conditioner doesn't really work. It was hard to sleep on the hot days. Besides this it was an overall wonderful hotel.

There is nothing special about this hotel. Its location is alright, about a 15 minute walk to the Merienplatz. The staff is not welcoming, but is not overtly rude either. All around, this is just an average hotel.
