A Great, Classy Hotel in the middle of everything!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in NYC partly because the hotel was not a worry. It is centrally located, clean, no bedbugs, quiet, great bed, exercise room in the hotel and the package (flight and Hotel) for a week were affordable. I loved to sit in the lobby and watch people coming and going through the swinging doors. I could walk to almost anywhere I needed to go or I could walk to Penn station and get any kind of public transit. Easy as cake!The only bad thing was the diner in the hotel. Service was bad, seating was bad and the service was unfriendly and slow. There are lots of nice places for breakfast nearby.

The hotel is very close to Penn Station, where a significant number of subway lines are. It's also relatively close to Times Square, Macy's, the Empire State Building and most of the theaters on Broadway. As I suppose is the norm in NYC, the room was relatively small, but roomy enough for two. We arrived before check in and the hotel held our luggage. Our room only overlooked the rooms across the open space in the back (?) of the hotel, but that also meant that we were not subjected to street traffic from a very busy intersection below us.

The hotel was a great choice for us. Midtown area, close to metro, and Penn Station. Very clean, quiet, felt safe, friendly staff and beautiful view on the 37th floor. Would most definately recommend this hotel, and hope to stay again.

This was our second trip this year to the New Yorker and both times we couldnt have been happier. The hotel location is wonderful for traveling by train, the staff is so helpful and pleasant and the room is GREAT! We both love the "New York" feel of the rooms. We would have loved to have stayed in the New Yorker back in its hay day. The location is great not only for traveling by train, which is a short walk from Penn Station. Its also a quick walk to many area attractions. The subway is also right around the corner and catching a cab out front is a breeze. Yes, the rooms are small, but you're not coming to NYC to hang out in your room as long as its clean is all that matters to me, and they were very clean. We're already talking about our next trip to visit the BIG Apple and make no mistake we WILL be staying at the New Yorker again, we love it here!
