The staff was rude. I asked for directions and the man rolled his eyes. There was never any towels at the pool. I called for pool towels but no one brought them down. The last night there the bathroom above us leaked into our room at 11 o,clock at night. I had to change rooms with kids. The front desk staff was laughing and not helpful about changing rooms. The only good thing was location.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights while on a sightseeing trip to Washington, D.C. The location is so convenient... directly across the street from the McPherson Street metro station. From this station it's only a 5-minute ride to the mall (Smithsonian museums, monuments, etc). The hotel is only a short walk to the White House (5-10 minutes) and there are plenty of places to eat within a few blocks (all price ranges and types of food). The room was clean and well-appointed. We had a room which faced the nearby building, so we didn't have a view but the room was always quiet, which was great for sleeping. The hotel staff was very friendly, especially the concierge and doormen - they are very knowlegable about the area and can recommend anything you're looking for. Overall a great hotel and a great location for tourists!

This hotel is right in the downtown area--close to everything, Metro, shopping, restaurants. Very close to all the memorials, museums. The staff is great, very engaging and helpful. We enjoy coming to Washington because of this hotel.

Loved the hotel and the amenities of the room, the staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed a taxi. We arrived mid morning and was able to check-in prior to the 3pm check-in time and relax a bit in our room before getting freshened up to go sight-seeing. The room was very nice and clean however, my only complaint was that the room was FREEZING COLD. We bumped up the thermostat only to then turn on the heat and then the room became TOO HOT there wasn't really a happy medium and we only put the temp at 72.
