Just return from a family trip to DC and this is my first time writting a review, only because I one to check the reviews 1st before I make decision in booking the hotel. This Hotel was great! Service was good I booked 2 rooms and i requested if possible for our rooms be together and it was!!! The rooms were nice a clean it has a fridge, microwave a coffee machine. The pool was little but perfect if you are traveling w/kids. the beds were comfortable, since I booked a special price I end up w/ a room king bed and we are 4 when I called the front desk they promptly brought us 2 rollway beds. The hotel stays within walking distance to the White House (btw 15th 717th), Smithsonian... we found that the area 7th St is where the restaurants are around the Spy Museum, Locals recommend it us the "Clydes restaurant" and the "Gordon Biersch restaurant corner of F St and 7th St great place good food and perfect for kids w/ a variety kids menu. We loved went back twice (try to make reservations). We also tried the restaurant at the Hotel which the food was delicious, but a little pricey, expected!!! but was good and our last night we were so tired from Walking We decided in room service and was quick and and well prepared! We prefer not to have breakfast @ the hotel was a little pricey for us so we decided to go eat in local pastry/bistro 14th St which was good .Starbucks on 14 th St., Don't book the Bus tour @ the Hotel! go down to the Willard Hotel get the Washigton Tour MUCH BETTER! Buses all the time, the Double Decker no good!!! waited +1hr in each stop.

My room was very comfortable and clean, and the bed was easy on my bad back. What really made my stay were the wonderful staff; especially those in the bar and the American Grill. They were friendly, engaging, and a joy to be around. Another amenity for this hotel is the closeness to the museums, and many other historical sites which were all within easy walking distance.

  • Very good hotel

Our trip to Washington was awsome. The hotel was very reasonably priced, clean and close to everthing. A plus was the location of the Metro across the street which made getting around very easy. The staff were knowlegable, polite and helpful. The resturante was excellent and the breakfest buffet superb. We will be coming back and will definately stay at the Hilton Garden again!
