Excalibur is a great location for the right price! I've stayed here before, and I would rate it a solid 3 star Las Vegas Casino property. They have a great pool area and even during off swimming pool weather they have one of their 5 pools open (not all casinos offer that during the winter months). Their work out area is ok too. If you prefer fine dining - not your cup of tea (but you're in Vegas - cabs are everywhere), but for quick eaters and some okay restaurants - you're good to go. Plus there is an indoor walking path to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay.

I liked that the rooms were nice and orderly. The view from the room was not a very nice one, though. The foodcourt and bars and restaurants in the hotel were good. I'm not sure if this happens often at other hotels, but it got annoying being asked if we wanted to do the timeshare tour everytime we walked into the hotel. Other than that, it's a good place to stay and right off the strip.
