We stayed at the Excalibur because of it's location on the strip and the overall cost. We were a bit aprehensive but pleasantly surprised. Having read other reviews we expected them to offer a room upgrade for an additional cost, but they didn't and our room was very nice. It didn't have a tub, so I called to see if we could get moved to a room with a tub and they said they had NO rooms with tubs, interesting. They had four pillows on our king bed and they were all very fluffy. I'm a stomach sleeper and prefer a flatter pillow. I wish they had some variety in the four pillows. Another bad thing was NO WIRELESS Internet. They had an ethernet connection in our room, but my iPad needs wireless. They need to correct this immediately. The pool and fitness area were wonderful. Everyone has to pay a $15/day "resort" fee, but we used it every day so didn't waste it. The restaurant at the pool was great! We ate lunch there. Good healthy options as well as a great burgers and sandwiches. Cab lines were very short compared to many of the other hotels, and the access to the Strip was an easy walk from the middle of the lobby. I would definitely stay there again if the price was right.

I was suprise to pay a $50.40 Resort Fee and Tax. I've been going to Las Vegas once every 3 years, for the past 30 years and never had to pay any Resort Fee and Tax.

We stayed at Excalibur because it was in close proximity to where we were attending a very expensive concert, but we couldn't afford the room rate at the hotel where the concert was. We decided that really, all we were doing in our hotel room was sleeping and showering, so we just needed the basics. We expected a plain old bed, but were happily surprised by the new super comfortable, pillow top mattresses and THREE pillows on each Queen bed. We both slept very well. It is was also SO QUIET!!!! We stayed in TOWER 1 on the 17th floor. The rooms were clean, although a bit dated and dented. My ONLY complaint about cleanliness was the grout around the edges of the shower floor were badly stained and looked kind of gross. Otherwise the bathroom and room were very clean. Our safe in our room didn't work and we called about it and 15minutes later, it was fixed. I wish there was a fridge and a coffee maker in the room, but again, we were going for basics. There was a blow dryer and an iron with ironing board. The room met our needs and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I would stay here again. If you want glitz, go elsewhere. If you just need a place to sleep and shower at a good price, this is a great deal.

The hotel was average. We stayed in the newly remodeled room. I would hate to see what the rooms looked like that were not updated. We had minimal water pressure. It was consistent the entire 4 night stay. They had closed two of the four pools and it was near 100 degrees the whole time were there. The pools were very crowded. The casino staff overall were helpful.
