I've stayed at the Excalibur for many years. And in recent years, some of the rooms were showing their age and need of upgrades. My room this year appeared to have been remodeled fairly recently re: carpeting, headboard, tv, etc with a great western view overlooking the pool areas. I was in Tower II which has exceptional access to the pool areas, fitness center and spa, and monorail to Mandalay Bay.

My wife and I arrived at the hotel from the airport around 10:40 a.m. To our suprise, we were greeted and quickly moved through the check-in process. Our room was ready!!!! Normally check-in is'nt until 3:00 p.m. Our room was clean and neatly presented. We revisited the casino then ventured out. Upon returning, we visited the shoppes as well as the buffet, which was absolutely outstanding. All in all, we will return to the Excalibur upon our next visit to The Fabulous, Las Vegas. Our stay was AWSOME!!!

We were checked in and out quickly. The staff was very helpful with directions and transportation. The buffet was very affordable, fast, and tasty. One bar we went to charged $20.90 for two basic drinks, so be careful where you order drinks! Hotel is in a good location. close to the monorail.

I feel this was generially above average. A friend who stayed in another room was upset there was no fridge no coffie maker and no tub - but i think most vegas hotels r that way... When i got the room i didn't know how to turn on a light and had no battery in my smoke detector - they promptly responded!!! this hotel is attached to the madalay bay and the excaliber with lots of shops - the breakfast buffet was great - lunch and dinner almost below average....remember the extra charge per night for ammentities - internet ect even if u do not use anything...and they tax that too! my friend felt it was an older hotel and the next to be torn down - i was however thrilled with it since i saved money staying there but was still in a great location - if u like the outdoors i Rec seeing RED ROCK CANYON rent a car on your FIRST day - go to red rock go to a walmart and load up on water and treats - everything in the hotels and strip is very very expensive........
