    The hotel was very clean, the room we had was very small, but adequate for no more time than we spent in the room. It had a microwave and fridge, iron and board, hair dryer and a nice tv. Free internet connection. The bed was fairly comfortable, had a shower to die for. No tub, but who takes tubs baths anymore? The biggest problem was the air conditioning. There was a small A/C located on the wall right at the head of the bed. No way could you sleep with it on blowing in your face. Fortunately the windows open (slats) and the nights were cool. The A/C was cold, but no volume. The parking garage is a nightmare, very small and with huge concrete post about every two cars. One of the staff parked our car for us twice tho. The staff was very nice, gave us extra hangers for our clothes and other small amentities. It is close to shopping, we walked a lot there and some fast food chains are a few blocks away. The beach is about 5 or 6 blocks away, the hotel provides free beach towels. The restaurant is not owned by the hotel, but they do have a free continental breakfast. It was slim, pancakes, oatmeal, toast a fruit. NO MILK! When the juice ran out, which was quickly, they refilled it with punch. I would stay there again and recommend it if you don't mind a really small room.

    We have stayed at this hotel on two other occasions and had a pleasurable experience. It was resonably priced, conveniently located and provided satisfactory rooms and service. The free continental breakast was an added bonus. However, during our recent stay March 16-22, the accomodations, room and service were less than satisfactory. We were given a small, noisy room that faced the street. We were also unaware that the free continental breakfast is not provided to guests who book through Travel agency. When I was advised about this change by the front desk person, she informed me I could speak to the manager. The manager, ABC was arrogant and smug and was not the least bit cordial. He stated that only guests who book with the hotel are provided the free continental breakfast and that the change was made in August 2010, and it is Travel Agency's responsibility to communicate this to us. He could have taken into consideration that we are regular guests and at least offered to provide breakfast for one day. But instead he commented, "you got a good deal on Travel Agency what are you complaining about". It is apparent that this manager is unconcerned about guest relations and ensuring that guests return to his property. With so many other options available to us in Waikiki, we definitely will not chose his hotel in the future.

    This hotel is a good one if you want to avoid spending an arm and a leg when in Hawaii. It's comfortable enough and a 4-5 block walk to the ocean. However, to get to the ocean, one must walk through a very developed part of Waikiki, which I would've like to avoid.

    Outside of being right on the beach, i could have not been in a better location to honolulu's shopping, international market, restaurants, expressway, the zoo, aquarium, parks and beaches. ...

    Outside of being right on the beach, I could have not been in a better location to Honolulu's shopping, international market, restaurants, expressway, the zoo, aquarium, parks and beaches. Parking was a bit tight and limited, but the friendly staff, hotel cleanliness and breakfast made up for it. I would definitely stay here again!
