This is the second time I have stayed at the Steigenberger Airport Hotel . It is clean and the staff are efficient. The rooms are comfortable but nothing special. If you need a place to sleep before boarding an early plane in Frankfurt it is a fine choice.

I arrived to a clean and astheticly pleasing hotel with a friendly reception. The room was clean and nice. There are only German channels so Americans be ware. There is only for a fee internet in the room. I went the local lounge to get dinner. The beers were reasonable but the food was extremely over priced. The hamburger was $* USD without fries or drink. After dinner I attempted to sleep but I could hear everyone in the surrounding rooms like they were in my room. I asked for a king size bed and received 2 twin size blankets. Neither single blanket was large enough to cover me all the way. I attempted to convey my dissatisfaction with the front desk but it fell on deaf ears. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

My family was put up here after my flight was cancelled. The staff did an outstanding job to handle over 300 people from my aircraft and another that was broken. However, the room wasn't that great. The air conditioner didn't work. A staff member looked at it and said that it was just slow, but the fan never came on during my entire stay. I only had about 2 minutes of hot water in the bathroom, and it remained cold there after. Fortunatley, I had a airline voucher for lunch as our overpriced lunch of sandwiches and burgers, along with soda for 5 cost $147. Also don't use the phone to call stateside with a credit card. A 3 minute call costs about $35. Take the 10 minute walk to the airport Terminal 2 to use a pay phone.

I had to spend one night in Frankfurt due to a cancelled flight, and I was happy that the Steigenberger Airport hotel was able to accommodate me. The shuttle bus arrived promptly, I arrived in minutes to the hotel and the check-in process was quick and courteous. They even upgraded my room at no extra charge. My accommodations were clean, comfortable and very quiet considering the very close proximity to the airport. Although the food was very good, I think that the cost was on the high side. The buffet breakfast was 25 euros, and in my opinion, not worth that. For those on a tight budget, there is a small store at a service station next door where you can purchase food at a much lower price. I would not hesitate to stay here again should the need arise, and was very pleased with the hotel.
