1. Room was very small for 2 adults with only one bed 2. Had to pay extra $$ for room with 2 beds 3. Toiletries were not replace daily, after cleaning room 4. Shower curtain had a bad odor 5. Bed was not made completely 6. Don't think sheets were changed daily

The Ala Moana is a good option for travelers who don't have a lot of money to spend and/or who do not plan on spending a lot of time in their hotel room. It's pretty basic. The rooms are tiny but sufficient. If you're just looking for a place to lay your head for a few hours (and when you're in Hawaii that's about all you need), then the Ala Moana is an OK choice. The beds are just so-so, but I do not recommend the pull-out sleeper sofa. You're better off getting a room with double beds. The location is pretty good, but I will say that the parking is horrible. Traffic is thick in Honolulu and Waikiki, and parking is always an issue no matter where you are. The Ala Moana's parking garage is tight and typically full. That said, the parking attendants will direct you to park where there really are no spots, which is helpful, but if you're driving a larger vehicle, I would not recommend parking in the garage. It's just too tight and cramped. It's also $40 per night.

All the staff that we came in contact were very accomadating and professional. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We stayed here 7 nights. The only thing I would recommend is a continental breakfast. Breakfast buffet was a little spendy.
