    Good location as it is 10 minutes walk to Ala Mona Shoping Center where most buses stop. Not good for driving as parking space is limited. Front-desk staffs arer nice. Matress is very comfortable and bed linnen of top quality. House-keeping is not up to standard. skip 1 day service, and do not clean bathroom properly. As shower head is fixed, can't wash my feet. Free Wall Street Journal and local newspaper available freely. No laundry machine despite advertisement. Have to pay to print boarding pass.

    The all around physical aspects (i.e. rooms, beds, location, etc) of this hotel was a good bargain although my next stay in honolulu will not be at the equus. ...

    The all around physical aspects (i.e. rooms, beds, location, etc) of this hotel was a good bargain although my next stay in Honolulu will NOT be at the Equus. After swimming in the Hotel pool my hair turned blue-green and reaked of bleach from the excessive amount of clorine in the pool water. When I informed the front desk about my situation they didn't so much as apoligize or offer to buy the special soap it took to wash the chemical out. Besides the pool problem, room service was incredibly pushy, rude, and invasive! There was one afternoon I had just returned back from the beach and was changing, about to jump in the shower when I heard a knock at the door. As I started walking toward the door (half naked) one of the cleaning ladies used her key and walked right in!!! This problem arrose so many times we had to permanetly keep the "Do not disturb" sign on the door. The only thing I can say positive about this hotel is that the price was resonable considering the location and the beds were comfortable! I would absolutely never stay there again due to the lack of hospitality!

    I was very surprised to see the room. The room did not look like the picture. I entered the room to find a dorm room setting. The decor was low budget. We had two bumpy twin beds with only one flat pillow per bed. We checked in to find a door with a faulty lock. The door kept sticking, locking you inside. They would not fix the lock until the next morning. The same night the hotel had a fire and bless-fully we got out the room safely. We found some roaches in the bathroom. You could not get any directions from the staff because they didn't know anything. The best thing about this hotel was the 5 stars Location. It was close to restaurants, shops and the beach. There was a place to get snack foods right in the hotel for a reasonable price. The ABC store was right on the corner for staple item shopping. If you are traveling expecting a dorm room and no frills. You have made the perfect choice. You can't beat the location.

    My room was totally nasty,such as; water stains on the carpet all over the room,bed in really poor condition,closet doors unable to open,under the sink water damage and no dresser to put your clothes in. Outdoor hot tub had seen better times. I picked this hotel because it said it was Eco -green,but sadly not,trash and broken glass laying all over parking garage.No recycling at all..........
