This was the worst hotel that I have stayed in, ever. The room was small, and dirty. Had stains on the wall, bedding, and floor. Hotel staff was extremely rude, and argumentative. The front desk clerk acted like she was being bothered during check in. The morning desk clerk had the same attitude. Guess both went to the same customer service training class. The hotel was to have 24 hour shuttle service to the airport. Asked for the shuttle in the morning, was told that they were trying to find a driver. 30 minutes later the shuttle drove off, and the desk clerk stated that they were going to pickup a driver. 15 minutes later, no shuttle, ended up calling a taxi. I would have been better off, pitching a tent near the airport. So much for southern hospitality. Stay somewhere, anywhere else but this Microtel.

I only spent one night here. The room had a musty odor. The front desk never called us for our wake up call. We asked for additional towels but the front desk gave us only 2 even though 3 people were sharing a room. I'll look for better service next time.

I stayed at this hotel because it was fairly close to the airport and I was only staying one night. I could tell right away that this was not a hotel that I would stay in again. The room was somewhat dirty, the bathroom had not been cleaned before I checked in, but the hallways and the stairways were, to put it bluntly, filthy. I did get a free shuttle to the airport, though. Believe me, you'll want to get out of there as soon as you can. Can't say much for the front desk either. Seemed the receptionist had been having a bad day and could care less about the customer, who did not have a bad day and was standing right in front of her. I really didn't care about her problems (we all have enough of our own) and I told her so. She was quite offended. In addition, there is not a good place to eat anywhere near this hotel. If you're not familiar with that part of Charlotte, you'll probably do what I did and eat at the local Waffle House. Management needs to pay attention to cleanliness and friendliness at this hotel. I am not all that picky, and I can't imagine the response if a person were a bit more demanding.

Would not stay again. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Fingernail on the floor behind the bathroom door. Remote only half worked. Skimpy on the pillows. Bathroom exhaust fan did not work. When we complained of the smell of smoke in our non-smoking room, we were told someone outside was smoking and the smell would dissipate in a few minutes. Breakfast was sparse. Waffles, toast, cold cereal and oatmeal. Everything was tied down as though in mortal fear we might take something. Even the vases were attached to the breakfast tables.
