I barely made it through a day. The lady at the front desk was moody and not particulary kind. I could chose to take the stairs because the elevator was so slow that I could go the the 3rd floor and back twice before the elevator reached that level. The hotel room was aweful. The floor was disgusting. My white socks were dark black within minutes from the built up grim on the carpet. I would not walk barefoot as the film on the carpet felt gross. The bathroom was unclean and paint was peeling. The front door let the light shine right through as it the weather stripping was non-existent. Basically, I left days early as it was the worst hotel that I've ever stayed at. Just to back it up, I'm attaching photos of the room!! Best to go to a different hotel and pay $20. more than to be this uncomfortable at Ft. Lauderdale Palace.

On first glance at checking in, room looked ok. Upon better inspection, too much dirt. Cleaning staff not very good. Air conditioner was loaded with dust and mold. My allergies were going crazy.. The shower was awesome. Parking was free, which was great, but i saw no security. Minimal breakfast. Rude front desk. Pool not very clean..did not use. will look for better stay next month

The signs of a bad hotel began at check-in. The clerk was very unprofessional and rude. Everything had to be repeated as she was of eastern European origin and didn?t speak English very well. At first she said we didn?t have reservations and that they were booked. After showing her our confirmed reservation she grudgingly found a room.
The room was nothing special, and smelt of humidity. At night my wife saw roaches in the bathroom.
The worst part was that at night the hotel bar attracts a very unsavory crowd of ? night ladies? and Harley guys. Definitely, this is not a family hotel. -

This is an absolutely awful hotel. AWFUL! There were bugs all over our bathroom and I got a bacteria infection in my eye from the pillow! My husband and I woke up with bright red eyes. (not that we really slept since this place is just gross!) Don't let the fancy photo at night deceive you. You can only see a slight glimpse of the ocean from the 3rd floor. You don't even know there is a beach across the 6-lane highway because it is blocked by huge buildings. We were SO happy to leave, I just wish we would have left as soon as we walked into the room. Stay somewhere else!
