We stayed here because the cost was lower than the New York hotels / motels. The staff were great. Breakfast is minimal --coffee and a muffin. Rooms are nice and large with refrigerator and microwave ovens. Beds are comfortable and the place is clean. HOWEVER, the neighborhood is very run-down and we did not feel safe walking to the PATH train to get to New York City. The PATH train is about 10-15 minutes walking. Too close to take a cab, but not a walk you want to do at night. Next time we will stay in NY city.

There is only one good thing about this hotel is the breakfast. Compare with other complementary breakfast, it has lots of food. However, I am very disappointed by the reception staff. I booked a suite for my parents. When I checked in, the check-in staff claimed that they only had one room left which is the room right off the street and it only has one bed. Of course I argued because I paid extra money to upgrade my room and it was just ridiculous. Then, the staff double checked and told me there actually had a suite for me. It was just very obvious the staff tried to fool me by saying that there was no suite and wanted to sell me the worst room in the hotel so that they could save the suite for other big party. Ridiculous and dissatisfied! please upgrade the crazy, noisy 100 years old AC and stop playing dirty tricks!! not going back 100%

A clean and quiet hotel just far enough away from the noise for a great nights sleep. Huge bathroom, large new LCD TV, in room safe, laundry room, exercise room and spectacular complimentary breakfast. A short walk to a huge PATH train station for a fast ride into Manhattan. The staff was some of the best I have ever met. Book now before everybody finds out about it!

We chose the hotel because of its proximity to NYC and convenient access to the PATH.
The first room provided had no closet for hanging clothes and a small dresser. The heat and AC did not work, the table lamps had no bulbs, and the bathroom had exposed pipes. When I expressed my dissatisfaction I was told they "were totally full." I explained that we had paid for our room nearly a month earlier. Magically; the room across the hall was vacant. Although it had a closet, it smelled of 'cat urine,' the carpet covered obvious holes in the floor...almost fell when I got out of bed, the wallpapaer was peeling, and the water pipes in the bathroom were covered in plastic, but appeared to cover old asbestos shielding.
The morning shift was more receptive to my concerns, and did move us to a third room which was more acceptable. They did provide a breakfast room with a decent variety of food and drink.
My disappointment was more in Travel agency! Obviously, the "Roaming Gnome" never stayed at this hotel.
