    We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Monaco very much. We visit Chicago frequently and stay wherever we can get a decently good deal downtown. This was our first stay at Hotel Monaco, and this one is going on our list of Good Places to Stay! We stayed for 4 nights. The staff was extremely friendly, and our river-view king room was clean and comfortable. The huge cushioned window seat was my favorite spot to relax and enjoy the great view - all the people and the cars and the great architecture and the Chicago River.

    It is a Kimpton so that means a few things. Different. Quirky. Fun. Playful. That's sort of what you expect from a Kimpton. So, look, this is not a new property so keep that in mind. Being old and downtown there are street noise issues on the lower floors. We loved the big sitting areas in the window nooks and the views peeking out to the river. Bed, room amenities and goodies in the lobby all add to a weekend escape. I'd do it again.

    Simply: excellent location in near proximity to train station, Navy Pier, is on downtown Hotel list for tour operators to pick you up from! Great room, quiet, low-key; beautiful lobby...nice wine service at nite. Had a wonderful promotion, & was well worth the price. Top-notch, nothing bad to say, would stay here again & again when in Chicago.

    The rooms are spacious for downtown hotels. The windows have cushioned ledges to sit and look out at Marina City and people watch. Very convenient to the theaters, walking distance. The adjoining restaurant is also a real plus. I'd recommend it highly.
