The pictures are misleading. Rooms are VERY small and shabby. The hotel is old and in need of a renovation. Problems: No a/c, loud radiator that couldn't be turned off, loud noise from the street, stained and broken furniture, peeling paint, few electrical outlets, bad quality TV picture, cramped bathroom, lights seemed to operate randomly at times (perhaps the remotely controlled fan/lights could be controlled by other room's remotes?), dank and unlit closet, etc. Location is good, lobby is decent.

It's striking when you first walk in these rooms. There is a bed and a desk. The dresser is in the closet, because it wouldn't fit in the room. The TV is mounted on the wall to make room. The rollaway bed had to be folded up before you could open the door. It's best to enter the bathroom walking sideways. The distance between the toilet and sink is about 18 inches. So be careful. The service was great. The room was spartan but clean. I'll pay more next time and go elsewhere.

I was pleasantly surprised on how kid friendly this hotel was. I traveled by myself with my young son and niece to see a play. The front desk greeted us spoke with the kids and when we returned inquired about the play. They even had waiting in our room a small gift for each of the kids with a card. We will stay again and highly recommend the hotel. Although the room was small it was clean and they made up for it with great service.

This is a small, renovated hotel very conveniently located to the major attractions and public transportation. Like most renovated hotels in this area, the building is old (1915), and the rooms are small, so if you need real estate, this is not the place for you. The staff is very friendly. This is a great place if you want a centrally located home base but do not need a lot of amenities. The "business center" is two desktop computers with a high speed Internet connection and a printer sandwiched between the bar and the dining room.
