We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed everyday of it. The Luxor is nice hotel, some of it is kind of beat down. But overall its a nice place to stay. Be aware that when you book your hotel/flight it may not include hotel resort fees or taxes. When we checked in we had to fork over another $100.00. At the rate we wound up paying for resort fees/hotel/airfare (Spirit - which charges for everything) we could have flown AA or United and stayed a different hotel further down on the strip. Lesson learned on my behalf. I have no problem with the Luxor - we just wanted to stay somewhere else this trip. Oh and if you stay at the Luxor, try the Let's Make a Deal game.. Its a blast! Hope this helps! Enjoy!

Overall good experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early. Only complaint is that we were charged a daily resort fee and were told it included free wi-fi. Turned out it was plug in only & if I wanted wireless (for our phones) we would have to use Starbucks wi-fi and would have had to pay $7.99/hr!

Requested Piramid Suite for Large Jacuzy tub with spectacular view! Had late arrival and went to bed when we got there. Woke up to see that our great view was of a BLOCK WALL out side of our picture windows! (ROOM 4041) Hotel manager was very plesant and moved us to the very top piramid suite! One of the best views in the hotel! After turning on both airconditioners to cool off the very warm room that someone had left the heat on high, we waited about 2.5 hours before moving out of our first room. I went to check on temerature to see if our new room was cool. (WAS NOT COOL) Both a/c's did not work! Again i talked to the very plesant manager and she offered an upgrade to the TOWER SUITE that did not have the jacuzy with a spectacular view! She moved us to another Piramid Suite (16121) Room had what we stayed there for, GREAT VIEW AND AIRCONDITIONERS WORKED VERY WELL! Now let me get to the rest of the story! (ELAVATORS)! Their are too many problems to tell all of them! 1. WOULD NOT STOP ON FLOOR YOU WANTED IT TOO. 2. TOOK ONE MAN OVER AN OUR TO GET TO HIS FLOOR . 3. ONE MAN SAID HE WAS STUCK INSIDE OF ELAVATOR FOR MORE THAN HOUR. HOTEL STAFF COULD NOT GET HIM OUT AND HE SAID THEY HAD TO CALL ELAVATOR COMPANY TO GET HIM OUT! MY WIFE SAID SHE WOULD HAVE FREAKED OUT IF THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN HER! I CAN VOUCH FOR HER, SHE WOULD HAVE FREAKED OUT AND THEN SOME! All i could think about when leaving our room to check out was please God don't let this thing break with her in this elavator! We made it out OK! When i checked out at the front desk of the LUXOR HOTEL, i was asked if i had any "ISSUES" i paused and said that all my issues had been handeled by a very plesant hotel staff! This is a beautiful hotel and the staff are all great! They just need to make sure things are working properly.

  • For package, you really couldn't beat the price.

Despite the price, it had some issues that were problematic. First off, they provided a food and beverage credit that could only be used at certain locations - all of which only offered dinner. Frustrating. Second, the elevators in our wing of the pyramid were not working consistently - we often had to wait lengthy periods or take the stairs six flights down to get to the casino floor. The rooms were nicer than what I expected, but that being said, The Luxor is a mediocre hotel when compared to others on the strip. The casino floor was very smoky and poorly ventilated (not as terrible as the Excaliber, but not far off either). I was disappointed that, while the hotel cost less than others, there were no lower limit blackjack tables.

Room was not happy with, flights were o.k. but if I knew I would sit next to my wife I would of gotten other flights, this was her 6th anniversary of getting her kidney transplant.
