We stayed in the pyramid and the room was very comfortable and clean with a cozy bed. The location of the hotel was actually better than I thought. We were able to walk half the strip one day and take a cab to the other end the next. The traffic and noise was less down our end of the strip and YES, the area was safe and no shady characters in sight. I would definitely go back! Oh yeah, the buffet was overall good for a buffet. It wasn't great, but what buffet really is?

They had great smaller bars, didn't care for the staff or scene of LAX, I'm a little too old for that I guess. Did like the Cat-House, the staff actually surprised me that they were in fact nice and accommodating, when at first encounter they didn't seem so. The rooms were nice, the staff was friendly, met really nice people. The Poker Room dealers were great with the exception of like 2 out of 10 or so. That's pretty good considering all the other dealers anywhere I played there were like 2-3 good ones I met, and I gambled a lot!
