This will be our third stay at the Luxor and I have to say it was the best one yet. The first 2 times we stayed, I was a little disappointed with the rooms due to the face that the beds seemed kind of old and uncomfortable. Since our last trip, they've upgraded rooms with new flat screen tvs, beds, and linens. We couldn't get over how comfortable the beds were and what a great nights sleep we got while we were there. We were out in Vegas for our wedding that was also at the Luxor and most of our friends and family stayed at the hotel as well and loved it. The kids spent everyday in the pool and were so excited when they got to go to the Aquarium at Mandalay Bay which is connected to the Luxor, so my mother-in-law and nephews didn't have to go out in the 100+ degree weather. The people who work in the Chapel were AMAZING! Friendly, professional and made everyone feel at ease. And I definitely needed someone to calmly tell me exactly how things were going to go! The only issue that I had on this visit was when we were checking in, I asked if it was possible to get a room upgrade since we would be staying there for 5 nights as well as having our family and friends who love to drink and gamble staying there as well. We were told that it wasn't possible because there was a diamond convention in town and all the upgrades were taken only to find out that my girlfriend and her guest got a room upgrade with no issue. I had no problem with them not being able to accommodate our request, but I felt like they lied to me and I didn't see why that was necessary. Other than that, we had a fantastic time and everyone in our party was very happy. If you're on a budget and want to stay on the strip, I highly recommend staying at the Luxor.

I expect more from this Hotel but I can't say much ... A little expensive in the stores inside there and the room looks like the doors were all tearing apart ... A little old doors don't make me feel safe leaving my stuff in the room... And the parking lot should be preferences for the people who actually stay there...

This was my second stay at the Luxor. I will not try a third. I paid for an upgraded room but it was no upgrade in my opinion. Grout in bathrooms were really dirty and gave you a heebie-jeebie feeling and the water smelled like sulfur. Shower had a "whine" when it ran water. Hallways in the towers are confusing. I had no room service menu, no clock for alarm and no television guide. We asked for adjoining rooms at time of reservation (5 months in advance) but were put on separate floors. There are plenty of other resorts that will gladly accept my reservations and money. Entertainment was fabulous, the Titantic exhibit is a must-see, but I don't recommend staying at the Luxor. Sad, but true.

We had a great experience there. When we checked in they upgraded our room free of charge, because they thought we might enjoy it better than the room we had booked. They took care of us and even gave us coupons to use at various places they have in the hotel/casino.
