Our room looked clean at 1st glance (bed made) but then we saw change on the night stand and a note from prior (hoping prior) occupant to a friend. That made it seem dirty. The hotel is for younger people on a tight budget.

I would only say that if you do not have a lot of money and want to go to Vegas, this would be the hotel. Other than that, I would stay somewhere else. You can clearly tell that they plan on leveling this hotel and building something different very soon. The rooms have not been remodeled in quite some time, the elevators rode like an antique rollercoaster, and the jets in the hot tub no longer work. The staff was excellent and they did clean the rooms each day. The furniture is very outdated and the Luxor has partnered with a timeshare company and they allow these people to pester their guests at literally every single turn of the hotel.
