Was very cool but the elevator noises did not make you feel safe and they gave my room to another couple when I was still in the room for an extra day so that was enouying! Cant go to there dance clubs casualy nice and if your sitting at the bar gamgeling you have to play max play to keep getting free drinks!

This is my second stay at the Luxor and it was as great as the first. I stayed in a pyramid room this time though, i got a free tower room upgrade last time. First off, getting to the pyramid rooms sucks. There are only certain elevators you can use and those elevators definitely need some work. I found all the staff to be great. Luxor's buffet was much better than Excaliburs was too. The ac in the building worked great as well during the heat wave. Criss angel's show was good as well as the tournament of kings. Ka was alright. I got lost in the story then fell asleep. All in all it was a fun trip besides the killer heat wave that was happening at the time.

The ambiance and comfort was what we had expected however, the hotel was having an issue creating room keys which made check in a nightmare. It was several hours after we arrived, travel weary, to recieve a key to our room. We could only access our room with a security guard prior to receiving our key and this was a lengthy process as numerous guests were waiting to do the same. The staff upon check in did not communicate to guests what the issue was or how long it would take to corrrect. Upon checking in (without the ability to enter our room) the staff was vague about how we would recieve our room key and where we should go. We were given two free drink coupons for our inconvenience.

All the MGM hotels computers went down. The poor staff! There were hundreds of folks waiting in line to check in. All ages standing for up to 3 hours. No exaggeration. The line was all through the casino. It was horrific and last for the 3 days I was there. What a mess. Coupons couldn't get honored because they were offline. So we will see if the honor mine for the 2 buffets. Not so far. The hotel was clean, good staff but they were not prepared and should have opened up the bar for folks. I know they gave boat loads away but not enough!

This hotel is at the end of the strip. Long walk or shuttle/tram to get to heart of the strip. It may be that the price is cheaper for a number of reasons. They charge an $18 (Mandatory) for use of the pool, fitness center and Wired Internet. (No wireless) There is no coffee maker in the room so the line for coffee in the morning is long even though there are at least 3 starbucks in the hotel. (I think I just figured out why there is no coffee maker in the room) Since they are at the end, every thing here is more expensive. Breakfast buffet $16. No burger for less than $12. Bring a lot of cash you will need it.
