Staff: The Luxor and, I believe, all MGM owned hotels have these really annoying people who harrass you to get you cheap event tickets for sitting through a timeshare hard sale. Room: The carpet around the AC was wet the whole week, the shower would not switch on all the way so the shower and bath spigets were on simultaneously. Cleanliness: When we came in, the toilet seat was soaked with what was probably cleaner, but it was not sealed with plastic to indicate that no one has used it since it was cleaned. Someone was called, but no one sealed it. Not sure if it was cleaned again since we left the hotel and didn't return until later. It didn't really bother us so upon checkout, we mentioned them just so we wouldn't get charged. They said we should have said something before and they would have gotten our room changed. Otherwise clean, except that if you didn't leave the bed pillows on the bed, they would not reassemble them on the bed, they would just leave them on the floor. same with the towels. If you did not leave the wet towels in the bathroom, but rather left them draped over a chair, they will remain draped over the chair when you get back. But you still get a fresh set of clean, dry towels. Bed: Comfy - really big fat pillows! All in all, the room is just the room. It's not like we spent much time in it! PS, it's so quiet in the room, you forget that it's bustling with action just outside in the casino! Connected indoors to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur - so much more to do!!! Pool area was crowded, not much shade. Umbrellas and cabanas were very expensive.

  • Great place to stay

The luxor was a great hotel to stay at. the only down fall is that it is at the end of the strip.

Older hotel but the staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was clean. Our air conditioner did not work the best and upon informing the staff they said they were extremely busy but would get up to the room as sOon as possible. When the second day came and still no one the hotel reimbursed us our resort fee. As we only really slept there and spent most of the time out and about we thought that was great. Lots of restaurants, bars, and shops close enough to walk to and not have to go outside being connected to two other hotels. Was a great place to stay on short notice. Only downfall was it was smoker friendly.
