Our flight into Vegas was delayed due to an aircraft maintenance issue. We got to the hotel an hour late and were stuck in a first floor smoking room (reservation was for non-smoking) that had a view of a junk holding area behind the hotel. Lovely. In the morning the front desk gave us a non-smoking on the 26th floor. Much better. But no compensation was offered for the terrible experience of the first night.

No wi-fi!!!! That was the only let down..only wired internet!

I'm not sure what was going on in this hotel, but I had a difficult time enjoying anything. We arrived in the early afternoon for check-in to a line that was spinning out of control. After 2 hours in the line, not moving a girl appeared and said she had just checked in and she got there at 6am. My trip was paid in full, so what could I do? I waited for 5 hours to check in. No answers, only acknowledgement was a man passing out warm bottled water and hard cookies. A/c in room would cut off at night. They sent a guy up, but it wasn't fixed. The air was so stifling. Non-smoking hotel, but there were people up and down the halls of the rooms smoking. Planned to report it on our way downstairs, but saw the line out of control the next day too. One morning an alarm sounded throughout the hotel. We thought there was a fire, but the loud screeching alarm told us not to be alarmed. After 10 minutes of shrieking the same message, another shrieking message started saying they have fixed the problem. It blared on for another 10-15 minutes. Did I mention this alarm sounded at like 6 in the morning? We also got calls to our room throughout the night. I'm guessing those were other guests joking. Turn down service was terrible. My sister cut her leg on the stand near the bed. They made the bed with the huge blood stain by leaving the sheets crumbled and folding the duvet tightly over them. Then they took all the towels out of the room. Used and unused. When we went looking for the pool, we stopped someone very official looking. On her tag it said something like floor manager or something, so we asked her where the pool was. She gave us the most disgusted look and pointed to the right and walked off. I was amazed. I get better service at Walmart. The pool was not to the right it was actually to the left, then to the right, down a corridor and some stairs, but hey close enough. When I tried to talk to the clerk about it at check out she just stared at me. No apology, nothing. I went to vegas for a friend's wedding. They stayed at the bellagio. MUCH NICER SETUP and seemed more adult. 2 people stopped us because I guess we looked lost and walked us to our destination in the hotel. THAT'S SERVICE. I'm 34 but I noticed that most of the people at Luxor looked about 18-21 and totally wasted. Maybe that's the difference.

To be honest I was shocked that there was no safe in the room or a fridge - I have stayed at smaller hotels and they had both in the room. I was not so sure I wanted to pay for a fridge just bc of how much I was paying for the room. They did have really cunfy beds though- and my bed sheets changed daily.
