I've been to the Luxor many times but the hotel seems on the downslide. Last trip I stepped on a pin that was on the rug and the shower door came off the rail and fell on top of me. Nothing broken but my pride. For this I got a form letter basicly saying OOPS sorry and an upgrade on my next trip that I can't use with my discounted online booking. I have to book at full price through the hotel to use it.The last trip was a birthday gift for one of my daughters. She and her sister shared a room and found a s*x toy that was left behind by the last guest and not removed by the maid which leads me to wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the room...........enough said!!!!!!

Check in was quick and helpful. We upgraded our room which was nice and not that expensive. We did have to call for extra towels and toilet paper but they were quick to get it to us. As with any hotel in Vegas, you have to walk a ways to get anywhere and it took a bit to get the hotel figured out. The pool was nice and cold-I mean cold. Lots of chairs for everyone! The tram service was nice too!

Elevators Take a Long Time/You Get What You Pay For
07/03/2012The hotel was blah, but i guess you get what you pay for. my main complaint is the "inclinators." they take forever sometimes! people are in line waiting 15-20 ...
The hotel was blah, but I guess you get what you pay for. My main complaint is the "inclinators." They take forever sometimes! People are in line waiting 15-20 minutes during peak times. The towels smelled weird. Checkin lines are long. The location is near the end of the strip on the South. It's better to stay at one of the more central hotels and pay more. You'll spend a lot on taxis after you get tired of walking.

Was at Luxor hotel for 4 days. Over crowded the entire week. BE careful with the 16 dollars a day resort fee that will NO BODY WILL TELL YOU ABOUT IT UNTIL YOU CHECK IN. Elevator took for ever to go up and down. Rooms to hot, and once in the room there is no control to turn up or down the A/C.
