We stayed here March of 2010 and had a great trip. The hotel had a lot to offer. A short walk (3 min) to the fun (and crazy) downtown, but a peaceful hotel at a great spot. Being on the point, you have access to crashing oceans and two beaches. On windy days we found the manmade lagoon a great refuge for our 3yr old. The pool was great for him with a large shallow end. The food was very good and we always found something for our son. Nighttime was pretty quite and there really was not much going on as you might think. However, the wait staff and bartenders were extremely friendly. The rooms are a bit "tired" and simple but clean and functional. My favorite time of day was out on the balcony during his nap relaxing to the crashing waves...with my stocked fridge. I recommend the ocean side, a bit more windy, but a beautiful view.

We got off to a rocky start when upon arrival ,we find out that the hotel has overbooked and our room won't be available until the next day. The manager graciously upgraded us to a suite, to accomodate the inconvenience. The rooms are really out dated ,but clean. I saw no ants as many other reviewers mentioned. We had a beautiful ocean view terrance which we took every opportunity to sit and relax or watch the sunrise or set. I can't explain the beauty of Dreams Resorts, you simply must come. Food is tasty and plentiful but not 4 star. Although these may seem like negatives, I assure you they will not deter me from revisiting Dreams Cancun again. The beach and the turquoise waters are hypnotic. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

The hotel staff was superb, the food was good, and accommodations were excellent. I would not hesitate on returning. The hotel was located at the end of the strip, which provided a very exclusive and private beach feeling.

The hotel is not very big, which was a plus for our family with 2 boys 3 and 6. Every morning we woke up to watch the dolphins jumping outside of our balcony by the Lagoon. The breakfast at the World's Caffee was wonderful with lots of choices for both children and adults. Yoga classes every morning at 9am are on the beach overlooking the Caribean Sea. Fresh fruits in the afternoon, drinks, lunch, kids activities, etc. We only left the resort once to go to Isla Mujeres trip, and I wanted to go back in the evening as it was much more relaxing at the resort. Lots of families, wedding, people from all over the worlds. We have been at Dreams Cancun twice and are going back to Dreams--Rivera Maya this year.
