While the location, free breakfast and free parking were nice, it didn't make up for the condition of our room. Carpet stained, room reeked of room/carpet freshener, heating fan very loud, bed old and uncomfortable. Front desk staff was nice and helpful and maid service did a nice job cleaning, but the room was still old, smelly and loud. Would not stay there again.

Our family of 4 spent 5 nights there during a hectic convention. The staff was superb - very helpful, joked with us to lighten the mood, promptly brought extra pillows, etc. Their evening snacks can be and were meals a couple of nights - salad, mac and cheese, hot dogs, nachos, chicken strips - nice! Breakfast was great as well. Small indoor pool. Small rooms, typical of downtown St. Louis hotels, but the King suite was adequate (huge bathroom with inside sink and outside kitchen and bedroom sink) for our family of 2 teenage kids and parents. Great location for convention center (1/2 block away) and many downtown attractions like the Arch.

Everything was well done here. The breakfast selection was expansive and was fully stocked and well-staffed. The only downside was the dingy parking garage, in which the 4th floor is reserved for hotel guests. The particular place we parked had plaster and oil all around.
