I stayed at this hotel for four nights in June, 2012. The experience was quite good, Its location near Hollywood Blvd. is just a modest walk from many must-see tourist sights such as Grauman's Chinese Theater. The subway is also close by. (Even though Angelinos themselves don't seem to appreciate public transportation, I found the subway clean and safe and also rode the equally nearby bus way out to Venice Beach and back for $1.00.) The staff was eager to be helpful and cheerfully fullfilled requests for everything from public transportation directions to dining suggestions to fresh towels. The breakfast wasn't free but the good food, the competent wait staff, and the convenience of the dining room made me forget that. Omelets or French toast or other special breakfast dishes are prepared on the spot and a nice array of other breakfast treats are also laid out. I enjoyed having a gym and laundry facilities in the hotel.

This hotel stated some construction on the pool and resturant.. they lied!!!!!! this hotel is under FULL construction and started before 7:00am and didnt end until after dark. there was no rooms in this entire hotel that were not full of construction noise.. When we got there we were just about to leave and go somewhere else..There were also no vending machines or ice machines when asking the front counter they said oh we have bottled water but i would have to buy them.. WHAT??? they should have given them to us for free!!!!! They also only had 1 elevator that half the time worked we waited so long one time we decided to take the stairs only to find out you couldn't use the stairs either it took you to the construction area where you could not get out.. Thank god there was not a fire or we would all have been in trouble!!!! They stated they are turning into a Hilton i hope that it is better once it is all finished. It smelled and you alsways had to share the elevator with the construction crew.. not happy with that either.. We also had no air when we first got in the room and they had to come fix that as well.. As we were told we were in one of the "finished" rooms.. I think they need to look again there was a dust bunny the size of a small cat in the vent in the bathroom and the shower was not totally finished yet and still had marking on the wall from the construction crew.. The over all look of the room was nice.. But a major let down for everything else!!!!!oh and we were unable to have cell reception due to all of the construction stuff and they stated free internet but never got that either,

The name of the hotel implies it is more luxurious and nicer than it actually is. I felt it was ok, and although it wasn't dirty, the room wasn't what the website had implied it would be. The bathroom was exceptionally small, and the beds weren't very comfortable.

Stayed 3 nights for a concert and sightseeing. Within walking distance of Hollywood Walk of Fame, Graumaan's Chinese Theater, Kodak Theater, and the Hollywood Bowl. All around friendly staff. Bed was comfortable, room was very clean. Pool and jacuzzi were very tidy with an abundance of towels, and on the second floor so secluded. Did not go to the restaurant although it was decorated quite nicely, it was a bit pricey. CONS: $20/per day parking, but with pretty much no 24 hour parking lots available, worth the price, and hotel is on a busy street so expect to hear (although not to loud) cars until early morning hours.
