My wife and I spent Saturday and Sunday nights here. We bought an upgraded room (premium view). It was spacious, clean, and had attractive modern decor. The view was overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard and the "volcano". It was "okay", but not worth the upgrade price I paid. We made dinner reservations from our room phone for the Mirage's Japonais restaurant, and were seated promptly at a table. We noted few other customers so the reservations weren't needed. The waitress brought us a drink/appetizer menu. We ordered drinks ($* each), and told her we needed a dinner menu. She said they didn't serve dinner that night, only appetizers. We said we made dinner reservations through the hotel and no one told us they didn't serve dinner, Basically, she said she wasn't responsible for that, and did we want appetizers or not. We complained to the manager. He said they did serve dinner that night and we could order anything that was on the appetizer menu. We noted to him that they had a dinner menu posted at the entrance, and nowhere did it say they were not serving that night. He was as unsympathetic as the waitress. We left and walked to the adjacent Kokomo's steakhouse. Another of Mirage's fine restaurants. We had no reservations, but were seated immediately. There was ample wait staff, and they were pleasant and efficient. I had a lobster bisque covered with a puff pastry that was tasty. My meal was a blackend steak with a shrimp sauce. It looked good, and was tasty, but it was very overdone and somewhat dry. It was disappointing for the price. The steak alone was $*. I was actually tempted to send it back, but I didn't. Overall, my impressions of the Mirage...Next time I'll stay somewhere else.

Won't stay again. Room was dirty. Mattress had a sink hole in it. Room decor was modern, but very dirty. Appeared to have vomit on wall. Bring earplugs too as hallway activity was loud. No coffee maker in rooms. Room had refrigerator, but was packed with for-purchase items only and no room for your own stuff. Check in was a half-hour wait as they only had 2 employees working the counter. Check out was quick, but the in-room express check out was not working. Cravings, buffet restaurant had lots of food offerings but food was not very good. Staff was very friendly. Rooms do have wi-fi, but internet service was very slow.
