I was in Vegas for conference. The conference was at Paris Las Vegas Hotel which is more expensive to stay, about 15-minute walking distance from Tropicana. The Location is good, right in the Strip st. The room I stayes is decent size, larger than most hotels. The bed was at perfect level of firmness, very supportive ,and comfort. The cons are the front dest staff is not so freidly, though. The hotel does not have free wireless. I tried to connect my laptop and was asked to enter credit card which I didn't feel comfort to give. I called the front dest and was told the wireless connection was free. But I could not establish a connection during my 4 days stay. The fitness room was hard to locate. I stayed 4 days and was not able to locate the fitness room. The lobby smells smoke everywhere. I hardly could breathe. I guess that in Vegas smoking inside the hotel/casio is the norm. Few choices for dining in this hotel. however, you can always go to other hotels or restrants to eat. They are within 5-10 minutes wlaking distance.

This hotel was really nice. The pool area was great, there was a nice fitness area, massage tables, clubs, restaraunts, deli's, shops, casino etc. It was very easy to get around, room was comfortable and casino was nice though I don't gamble. Only gripe I think I would have it that there was no fridge in our standard room.

Over all the Tropicana was a good place to stay. Smaller casino/motel and easier to get around in. Beds were very comfortable. First night we were put in a smoking room, which we asked for a non-smoking. They did put us in a non-smoking next three nights and did not charge us $9.95 per night fee. Centrally located on the strip and across the street from MGM & New York, New York. We would stay there again.
