Watch out for the "Resort Fee." While checking in, make sure you argue about the Resort Fee charge of $15 a day (ridiculous!). Luckily, I was able to get out of it without much trouble, but if you aren't planning on using any of the things it supposedly pays for (and you're on vacation...why would you?), then you SHOULD be able to get out of it if you spoke with the same worker that I did. As for the casino, it isn't much compared to the others, but you don't need it to be. It has what is expected, and the renovations they made make it look really nice (much nicer than it did when I stayed four years earlier). There was, however, a pretty loud noise near the entrance while they were doing construction or something in another room. The hotel room itself was great. The king size bed was extremely comfortable, and there were four pillows (one for each person and another one to hug or straddle between your legs). The shower/bath is large (at least compared to a normal home bath/shower) and can comfortably fit 2 normal-sized people (if you are into that, which we were). The maids do a nice job as well, although we only had them clean once during our 4 night stay. As for the location of the hotel casino, it's nice. Obviously, it isn't the prime area in the middle of the strip, but for the price you are paying, it's really close to the action. Unless you are a heavy walker, it is in your best interest to get a 24-hour bus pass (or 3-day) fairly cheap which can take you anywhere on the strip AND Fremont Street (Old Vegas, which is a MUST SEE) in a relatively short amount of time. The buses can get fairly crowded, but they are definitely the cheapest, fastest way to get around if you can't afford a cab. There's also a bus stop about a 2-3 minute walk from the casino itself. Enjoy your stay! It's definitely recommended.

Went on an Anniversary trip and wanted to put trips in one. The Urban LV strip and the wonderfully done over Tropicana hotel with the feel of Havana Nights being the second. The rooms were a great size for a standard room. My problem was the VERY loud fan in the bathroom. Anytime you turned on the Bathroom light you heard this horrible sound like the fan was trying to cut up a body. Other than that the hotel restaurant was very pocket friendly in price a nice selection. There are three restaurants Cafe Nikki was the one that provided the best prices. The pool is a nice size and the Jacuzzi tub lies in the shade. The casino was beautiful, they are not quick to give out the free drinks with the gambling. So this might not be the place to gamble and drink at the slot machine. I went down everyday for at least an hour or 2 and was only served drinks on one day which happened to be my last. All in All it is a great hotel for Vacation and is in the middle of reconstruction that although claims to be done there were still the Spa and the Gym being redone during my trip. I hope you all can enjoy it on your stay.

This was my first visit to Las Vegas...I was here with co-workers for a conference, which was held across the street at the MGM. I feel as if we received the best deal staying at the Tropicana. The staff was friendly and very helpful and knowledgable; the rooms were clean and very well maintained; the food was GREAT and the views from the room were magnificent (I could see the strip from my room). I would strongly recommend this to my family and friends and am looking forward to coming back for a fun-filled vacation!

Definitely not a hotel for family events as the casino is FULL of barely dressed women! The bed was extremely comfortable, however, the bathroom had a lot to be desired. Hotel staff were hard to come by, cleaning staff came around in the evening while we were there. Probably wouldn't use this hotel again, better places out there for the same price.

From the minute we got dropped off at the hotel, the staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean, bright, and inviting. My husband and I were celebrating our 22nd Wedding Anniversary. We were on the strip and there was so much to see. Our anniversary dinner was downstairs, Bacio. The food was amazing. Delicious! Delicious! We even got to meet the Chef. Overall, this hotel was Excellent. I would recommend staying here.
