    We loved the Tropicana! All the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel has been redone and is modern and clean. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We were very close to the monorail station and 4 other major hotels. The hotel is not as large as some mega casinos and more personal. The restaurants had great food and the pool area was beautiful. They could have a larger food court but that was the only negative.

    There was an extremely long line at check in and only two clerks working. Two more were in the area but not taking people from the line. The room didn't have a coffee maker and other than going to the other tower where there is a Starbucks you have to wait until you go to breakfast to get coffee. We were billed a seperate "resort" fee and we didn't didn't use any of the "free" things included in the resort fee. We were there for the PBR World Finals so this hotel fit our needs.

    First room we were in faced the airport. We listened to airplanes and ambulances all night. The hotel has been updated but the sound quality of the window has not. the staff did not hesitate to move us to another room the next day so I doubt this is the first time they heard this complainant. I would suggest staying somewhere up the strip. Some hotels charge a resort fee like this one, look for a hotel that doesn't.

    We really enjoyed our stay at the Tropicana. Everyone was very helpful, the rooms are roomy and up to date, free wi fi in the room, a fantastic sports viewing place. The only negative was the check in line, which was long. More help was needed there. They have self parking, which saves the valet tip! Even the casino was nice--great sound absorbing and smoke absorbing-the ventilation system must be fantastic!
